kids Camp 2010

The camp theme for this is year is Life in 3D-Stepping out with God

He has showed you, O man, what is good.  And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” – Micah 6:8

We all know that we’re supposed to live in a way that honors God, but what does that look like? Micah, the prophet, helped the Israelites answer that question, and he wrote what is still true for us today. First, do what’s fair. Second, be compassionate in love. Third, don’t take ourselves too seriously. And God has clearly shown us how to do each of these if only we’ll look to Him. Come with us to Student Life For Kids Camp as we break through our flat pictures of God and learn what it means to live LIFE IN 3-D.

Our day starts at 7:15 with a full buffet breakfast.  At 8:00 the kids are gathered for Quiet Time.  It has to touch the heart of the Father to see over 1,000 kids spending time in His word at the same time all over campus. Then it is off to Celebration where everyone gathers with the camp staff for worship, skits, games, Squads, and instructions.   At camp we have amazing worship time with our Camp Pastor Gabe Norris and our Worship Leader Brett Stanfill. There is nothing like hearing the voices of a 1000 kids singing praises to the King. This is the favorite time for our adult leaders.  Our leaders will take our kids deeper into God’s truths during their Family Group time.  We all love getting wet during the Water Games and hot during Out Door Recreation.  We can’t forget about pool time, the Aqua Jump in the lake, Star Bucks Coffee, the book store, the snack bar, lunch, ping pong, I need a nap…..no time for that, dinner, Student Life product table, Evening Worship (be sure to listen live), Late Night (we were the winner of the Children’s Minister Challenge last year), church group time, lights out, and the good night fairy.

Our church leaders are incredible.  If your child is too old to go, please pray about sponsoring a leader.  What a great way to thank them for all they do for the Kingdom.

Sounds like an exciting time doesn’t it?   Are you reading to pack your suitcase?
