The Norman Kingdom
Life
Jan. 11, 2009 – Sermon On The
Mount.
Matthew 5 – 7
Remember to live your life as an Acts 29
life.
Discuss
how to live the Acts 29 life.
The manner of people we ought to be:
L I F E
Learning
to hear and obey our Lord’s voice and to live under His reign. See
Galatians 4:19
Intentionally
pursuing our Bridegroom Lord through prayer, worship and fasted lifestyles,
having a holy dissatisfaction with the glories of this age.
Follow
our Lord’s command to make and multiply disciples to unashamedly declaring
the glory of the Kingdom to the lost and the least with an expectancy of attesting
signs, wonders and
miracles.
Encouraging
one another through the dynamic gifts of the Spirit and the laying down of our
lives for every member of His body both at New River and in Douglas County.
We ought to be lovers of the Truth.
Deception is strong now and will become stronger as time goes on.
See 2 Thess. 2: 8 – 12
We need to be looking for the Lord’s
coming.
See 2 Peter 3:10 – 12
We need to live as strangers in a foreign
land.
See Acts 2:40
Sermon on the Mount people are identified
by Jesus in Matthew 7:24 – 27. They are founded on the Rock –
Jesus.
Crowds gathered to hear him speak and He
spoke about what would characterize a Kingdom person.
His
first word was “Blessed.”
It’s
what heaven says about you.
It’s
the character that identifies a truly saved person.
The
Beatitudes are the core realities of the abiding life.
Discuss how being poor in spirit means
to be rich towards God. And if nothing we have is ours we can’t claim
anything – it’s all His.
Discuss how we are rich towards God with
our tithes and offerings.
