Paul talked about how the Word of God interacts with every part of our lives. Our mandate is to use words that speak to the glory of God, whether through language or expressions of love. One church father put it this way: “In all ways preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and if necessary use words.”

Our words tell people what is in our hearts. The example used was of a honey bee. The type of flower the bee gets the nectar will determine the flavor of the honey.

And what we fill our hearts with will determine what comes out of our mouth and how we live.

Psalm 119 is a chapter we all should read periodically to get a complete understand of the importance of God’s Holy Word.
